Approaching: Vision Expo East 2019

 

Vision Expo East 2019 is quickly approaching! Taking place in New York City on March 21 -24, this year’s Show is gearing up to offer attendees must-attend events and must-see experiences. For a look at what’s new, read on! 

Be sure to check out the new Exhibit Hall destination experience, the BRIDGE, designed to inspire learning, networking and socializing. The BRIDGE will host Vision Expo’s inaugural EYE2EYE speaker series with award-winning artist Common as well as fashion trend presentations and panels. Additionally, as part of Vision Expo’s inaugural EYE2EYE series, the FUBU founders – Daymond John, Keith Perrin, J. Alexander Martin and Carl Brown – will participate in a panel discussion highlighting their new eyewear launch and the rise and success of their brand in the BRIDGE on Friday, March 22, beginning at 1 p.m. 

For an exclusive look inside retail stores in several of New York City’s world-renowned neighborhoods, check out the guided retail store tours, exclusive curated by CIM tours for visitors to Vision Expo East, available to attendees from March 20 – 24. These tours offer attendees an inside look at how eyewear retailers drive traffic to their stores, leverage the latest technology, maximize their store experience and set themselves apart. For the Madison Avenue tour walk up the longest street of luxury in America and experience one-of-a-kind interactions with the visionaries and brand ambassadors of Robert Marc and DITA, to name a few. The Oculus tour will allow attendees to experience the stunning architecture of the Westfield World Trade center as they review top trends driving retail success in today’s economy. Finally, on the SoHo tour, attendees can discover the oldest independent eyewear boutique with a retro collection that is museum-worthy, celebrity customers and much more.

Don’t miss the new Exhibit Hall neighborhoods – BLOCK and NEXT – for access to celebrity-influenced and independently designed urban eyewear as well as fresh innovations from up-and-coming designers. Furthermore, the BLOCK will feature fashion shows including Cynthia Bailey Eyewear on Saturday, March 23 from 1 p.m. – 1:30 p.m., FUBU Legends Eyewear at 3:30 p.m. and more. 

New to the show this year, the Career Zone is designed to provide some of the largest optical companies the opportunity to engage with eyecare providers, including students and young professionals. Further, young professionals are encouraged to participate in the Career Zone passport program for the opportunity to win prizes. 

Attendees will also have access to fashion-focused courses including Must Have Eyewear Trends for 2019 with Joy Gibb on Friday, March 22 from 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. The course will delve into the runways of Paris and New York to determine the fashion trends for the new year. Additionally, the Eyewear Trends & Selection Techniques course with Laurie Pierce will discuss how to translate fashion patterns into optical trends on Friday, March 22 from 2:45 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.
